Our innovative approach helps preserve traditional fishing villages by reducing pressure

STEP 1: SOURCE THE BEST CELLS
We start with cell samples from healthy fish from various seafood supply sources around Iceland, ensuring we have the highest quality starting point for our seafood.
STEP 2: CULTIVATE WITH CARE
In nutrient-rich bioreactors powered by green energy, the cells grow, multiply and thrive into substantial cell masses, eliminating the need for traditional fishing.
STEP 3: TRANSFORM INTO DELICIOUS DISHES
The cell masses are then transformed into delicious, real seafood by our culinary partners. The result is real seafood with all the flavors but without the environmental impact, pollution, or microplastics.

BIRGITTA ÁSGRÍMSDÓTTIR is our Chief Executive Officer with an MSc in Molecular Biology and an MBA. She brings 15 years of experience in sales and marketing, excelling in strategic leadership and business growth within the scientific and commercial sectors. Birgitta is recognized for her expertise in developing and executing strategic initiatives that drive business success.
ALEXANDER SCHEPSKY,Ph.D., is our Chief Scientist Officer with a PhD in Life Sciences. With more than 30 years of experience in cell research, he is a leading expert in his field, known for advancing scientific knowledge and innovation in cellular biology. Alexander has been instrumental in securing several high-profile research grants, driving forward pioneering projects in the life sciences.
MARTIN UETZ is our Chief Revenue Officer and a seasoned Business Economist with 35 years of experience in global sales. He excels in driving revenue growth and developing international sales strategies, bringing extensive expertise and a proven track record in the worldwide market.
SIGRUN GUDJONSDOTTIR is our Head of Investor Relations with an MSc in Computer Science and an MBA. With 20 years of experience in startups, she excels in connecting investors with innovative businesses, leveraging her extensive knowledge and experience in the tech and business sectors.

With over 18 years in the geothermal energy sector, he has extensive experience in business development and research. He has served on the boards of various geothermal associations and is a prominent advocate for sustainable energy solutions globally.
Valerie Maier, PhD., Dr. Valerie Maier, an experienced molecular biologist, specializes in cellular mechanisms and development in fish and mammalian cells. Her research has been published in recognized scientific journals, and she is recognized in the scientific community for her research contributions and collaborative efforts. Besides her scientific career, Valerie has also gained extensive business experiences as an investor and board member of several companies.
ÞÓR SIGFÚSSON is the founder and Executive Director of the Iceland Ocean Cluster. With a PhD in international business, he has spearheaded initiatives in the blue economy, focusing on sustainable seafood utilization. Under his leadership, the cluster has fostered innovation and collaboration among marine startups.
GUNNAR PÁLL RÚNARSSON is a renowned chef at Hotel Holt with extensive experience in the culinary and wine industries. He co-founded Vin8, where he leverages over 30 years of expertise to introduce high-quality wines to the Icelandic market. Gunnar is also known for his work in wine tasting and education.
